Sandra Ahten
Sandra has been married to Kevin since 1999 and is currently the vice president and business manager of Elliott Counseling Group. Sandra is also a personal coach, writer, and weight loss group facilitator. If this were not enough, Sandra is a talented artist, whose work graces the counseling offices and other local and national collections.

Champaign-Urbana Folk & Roots
A great local organization that sponsors music and other folk activities throughout the year and puts on an increasingly popular two-day folk and roots festival each November in downtown Urbana.
Folk Alliance
An international organization, now headquartered in Kansas City, that coordinates all things “folk” throughout the year and each year puts on the five-day Folk Alliance International Festival, which provides almost around-the-clock music, and also brings together musicians, DJ’s, fans, venues, labels, promoters, and every other imaginable music professional, to network, share resources, and attend to business … all the while enjoying the best of current folk music in all it’s variations.
Jim Patton & Sherry Brokus
Jim and Sherry are talented singer-songwriters out of Austin, TX, who have shared venue stages, house concerts, and folk showcases with Kevin many times over the past several years. In addition to being very good friends, Jim and Sherry have invited Kevin to participate in the concert series that they host during the renowned South-by-Southwest Music, Film and Interactive Festivals that take place in Austin each year.
Bill Wence
Bill is a music professional who has worked in all aspects of the business, currently focusing on radio promotion, but also still an active touring and recording musician, playing piano with the legendary Wanda Jackson at present, but with a history of collaboration with a veritable who’s who of the folk, country and Americana music of the past several decades. Bill has been a good friend to Kevin, promoting his recordings to radio, while regularly plays Bill’s artists on his own radio show on WEFT.
Rupert Wates
A gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist, originally from England, who currently resides in New York and Colorado, and who has performed in a number of concerts with Kevin, and who continues to be a good friend and valuable professional collaborator.
Elliott Counseling Group
A division of Kevin Elliott Counseling, a counseling business located in Champaign, IL, which provides services for adults, adolescents, and children, for all presenting mental health issues, employing approximately twenty-five experienced therapists, covering weekday, weekend, and evening hours, and providing a number of special services. The business was started in 2002 by Kevin, and has been directed since 2013 by Kevin’s wife and partner, Sandra Ahten.
